1. IMPORT BUSINESS
Founded in Sydney in 1980, Vastrade is an integrated group company formed by Australian Chinese businessmen who have an outstanding contribution in the fields of Sino-Aussie business exchange, investment and import/export trading in these 30 years, thus laid a solid foundation for the group’s development.
Vastrade has been committed to introducing Chinese food products to Australia since the 1990s. During these years, it imported and distributed the traditional renowned “Liu Bi Ju” pickles and sauces, “Wang Zhi He” fermented bean curd and “Xin Yuan Zhai” prune drinks from Beijing into Australia and brought the taste of home to Chinese residents in Australia. Vastrade Group currently not only has hundreds of imported Chinese food products, mainly from Northern China, including drinks, ingredients and snacks, it also formes its own food brand for dozens of food and seasonings, and becomes the major supplier for hundreds of well-known Asian supermarkets, grocery shops and restaurants all over Australia. Today, besides imported Chinese traditional products into Australian, Vastrade brings good Australian products to China as well.
2. EXPORT BUSINESS
In the meantime, Austrade’s export business has been booming thanks to the tireless effort of its stuff. Its exported products include wine, bee products series, health care products and daily necessities, with the company’s trade mark of
Blue River (wines), Honey Spring (bee and other health care products) and Outback (dairy products). These products have won many renowned international and domestic awards. Blue River wines has been selected as gift wine for NSW government’s top officers’ visit to China as well as on board serving wine for many airlines for their domestic and international flights.
Vastrade’s core principle for food import and export business is returning to origin and nature. In line with this principle, we will constantly develop new products and markets, thus making a contribution to Aussie Sino exchange in food culture.
3. INVESTMENT AND COOPERATION
Since the 2000s, Vastrade Group formed “Beijing Aojia Fertilizer Co., Ltd” and “Tianjin Bohua Vastrade Yongli Chemical Co., Ltd”, two separately joint ventures in Beijing and Tianjing with famous local companies. Later, it became a shareholder in well-
known “Calabria Family Wine Company” and “Costal Spring Pty Ltd” in NSW, Australia, and exported their products to China and Asian Pacific regions.
